TAPE JOURNALS
Inspired by the life and art of David Wojnarowicz, in particular his Tape Journals, this project is very special and important to me in many ways, becoming sort of a statement. Together with my friends Victor Guaita (viola), Barbara Drazkov (piano) and Jacob Storer (performer) we were exploring the topics of love, sex, drugs, death, and AIDS presented in David's work.
His words resonate through prepared piano, viola, and voice-intertwined with physicality raising questions and expressing concerns and desires that have remained present and unresolved in the queer culture for decades.
